Cancun Sailing during pregnancy
Yes, you can go on a catamaran during pregnancy. However, it is not recommended to snorkel during pregnancy for the following reasons:
- Snorkeling is done in the open sea, therefore, your feet will not touch the ground.
- Sea currents can be strong.
- The snorkeling time is between 20 and 30 minutes and can be strenuous for some.
- You have to climb up and down the boat's ladder, which can be moving due to the current.

Alternatively, you can swim at Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres, where the sea is calm, clean and shallow, ideal for relaxing.
Another, more comfortable option is to book a private tour, which makes a stop in the calm waters of Isla Mujeres.
Ask your doctor before doing this and other activities.
